174group_at_Signing.jpgThe International Trade division helps member businesses create, source and expand their markets, products and services to and from China, Taiwan, the Pacific Rim and abroad. The Vermont Chamber of Commerce maintains an office in Shanghai, China, and has a close partnership with representatives in Taipei, Taiwan.

Currently, Vermont is the only state Chamber of Commerce in the nation with permanent trade offices in Shanghai and a representation in Taipei.

The office was established in 1998 to increase the visibility and sales of Vermont products and services, and serves as a central resource for marketing, research, sales leads, and a multi-purpose resource for Vermont businesses wishing to do business in Taiwan. The Chamber also has a full-time staff person, Jill Chen, who is the managing director of the Chamber's International Trade Office in Taipei.
