As a member-driven, member-supported organization, the Vermont Chamber brings together diverse interests to foster positive action on issues of common concern to the business community.

Our Advocacy team focuses on the issues of excessive government regulation, taxation, education, tourism, mandated health care, workers’ compensation, and energy. With decades of experience working with the Legislators and administration, our advocacy team has the knowledge and contacts to make a difference for your business.

Betsy Bishop is President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.  Prior to coming to the Vermont Chamber, she served as the Commissioner of Economic Development. Bishop worked for Governor Jim Douglas for seven years, beginning with his transition team. She then went on to lead his policy and legislative team for six years as his Deputy Chief of Staff.  Prior to this Bishop served as Vice President of Government Affairs at the Vermont Chamber of Commerce from 1994 to 1998, before starting her own company which advocated for businesses in the state legislative and regulatory arenas. 802-223-3443 or email:bbishop@vtchamber.com.

Vicky Tebbetts is the Senior Vice President of the Chamber and the Vice President of the Vermont Hospitality Council, the tourism division of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
