Sponsor the Legislative Updates!
Every week during the legislative session, we produce the Legislative Update, a weekly publication that informs our members of business-related and economic issues as they move through the legislative process. This is a vital report that is distributed via email to our 1500 members and concerned individuals throughout the state.
The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is offering your business the opportunity to be the sponsor of this publication. We accept only one sponsor per week, allowing for greater impact for that business.

The Vermont Chamber participates in an ongoing study of the long term economic impacts of various public policy choices on retail activity in communities bordering the Connecticut River. The study determines that policy choices around issues such as the retail sales tax, the bottle deposit and Act 250 have had a dramatic effect on the pattern and location of retail activity along our border with New Hampshire.

Legislative Outreach: Legislators need to hear directly from our members. In order to encourage members to contact their legislators with their concerns, the Vermont Chamber publishes a weekly Legislative Update during the legislative session; a Legislative Report Card released after the legislative biennium that reports on the voting records of all legislators on important business issues; and the Legislative Handbook, a resource book of Vermont legislators.
The Legislative Update is available by email to Vermont Chamber members only. These are e-mailed Friday afternoons and cover the legislation being discussed during that week. The Vermont Chamber also publishes a legislative preview prior to the session and a legislative wrap- up at the end of the session. If you would like to receive a printed version of the weekly Legislative Update, please email your name and address to Lisa Goodell.
The Legislative Handbook is available in hard copy only, to our members for free and to the general public for a small fee. If you would like to receive the Legislative Handbook, please email your name, business name, and address to Kathy Megrath or call 802-223-3443.
