Best Places to Work in Vermont Rankings Released


The Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Vermont Business Magazine unveiled the rankings of the Best Places to Work in Vermont during an awards ceremony on Monday evening at the Main Street Landing Film House in Burlington.

The awards were presented to 15 of the best companies to work for in Vermont which were broken up into two separate categories: large companies (150 or more employees) and small and medium companies (15 to 149 employees).

 “The companies recognized with the distinction of being one of the best places to work in Vermont demonstrate a high level of commitment to doing business in Vermont and to the wellbeing of their employees,” said Betsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. “These 15 companies are most deserving of this award and should be proud of their accomplishments.”

“The Best Places to Work in Vermont Awards are a nice way to honor companies that go above and beyond to make their businesses great places to work,” said John Boutin, Publisher of Vermont Business Magazine. "The companies awarded this year all have unique qualities that made them stand out in the extensive application process."
 

This year’s award recipients in order of ranking are:

5. Vermont Electric Power Company, Inc.



Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont.  The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics and the second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.  The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.  Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Vermont and also analyzed the data to determine the final rankings.
