The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that this year’s Online Auction is now open for bidding. Members of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce have generously donated items for this worthwhile cause. There are items ranging from great vacation get-a-ways to tickets to the hottest sporting events. There are more than 80 items in the auction, including overnight and weekend stays at Vermont’s most recognizable lodging establishments, hot air balloon rides, airline tickets, ski passes, and much more!

The bidding concludes at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 17. The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is eager to generate great results this year, with proceeds going to benefit the Vermont Chamber of Commerce Business Education Partnership (VCCBEP) and the Hospitality Education Fund, both 501(c)3 organizations.

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce Business Education Partnership (VCCBEP) is committed to building partnerships between schools, businesses, students, and communities that result in the development of a skilled, ethical, and prepared workforce and economic opportunities for all Vermonters.

The Vermont Hospitality Education Fund addresses the educational needs of Vermont’s current and future hospitality workforce through scholarships for high school students who are committed to furthering their education and enhancing their careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry, and by providing food safety training materials and classes to students and incumbent hospitality industry employees.

“Our online auction wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our members who have donated some wonderful items this year,” said Betsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. “The money raised is going toward two important organizations that help Vermont’s future workforce gain the skills necessary to succeed in many different industries in the Green Mountain State.”
