Berlin, Vermont – Two Vermont Chamber of Commerce employees have recently been recognized for their depth of knowledge and contribution to Vermont's business community:  Vicky Tebbetts, Vice President of the Vermont Chamber's hospitality division, was appointed to the Travel Recreation Council (TRC); and Antonia Opitz , Director of Events, was selected by Vermont Business Magazine for a “Rising Star” Award.“These appointments and awards recognize some of our key team members for their leadership and innovation. Working with them on a day-to-day basis, we know the depth of their talent. It's rewarding to know their contributions to the Vermont business community are being recognized well beyond our own circles,” said Betsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.

Tebbetts has been with the Vermont Chamber for ten years and is currently head of the hospitality division. Her range of knowledge comprises tourism, marketing, and a deep familiarity with many small businesses.  The TRC serves in an advisory capacity to the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing.Opitz has planned the Vermont Chamber's signature events since 2007, and has facilitated networking and events on behalf of thousands of Vermont Chamber member businesses.  She was chosen from a large pool of nominees to become one of Vermont’s “Rising Stars,” the year's top 40 business people under the age of 40, selected for professional excellence and their commitment to their communities and to business growth.   “It is a pleasure to work with these two women,” noted Bishop.  “Our staff embodies a tremendous resource, access to whom is of considerable value to Vermont Chamber business members.”
