Vermont's Centennial Businesses Honored at the State House

The Vermont Centennial Business Awards is a joint project of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the Secretary of State's Office, and Vermont Business Magazine.  Any business that has operated in Vermont continuously for 100 years or more is eligible to participate. 

The Vermont Centennial Business Award acknowledges Vermont’s oldest businesses for enriching our economic heritage.  The goal of this awards program is to  deepen our understanding of how Vermont’s businesses have enhanced our community life during the last one hundred years. 

The 2009 Centennial Business Awards went to the following businesses:

Burlington Drug Company - Milton - 1891

JW & DE Ryan – Vergennes - 1887

Northfield News – Northfield - 1878

Trow and Holden – Barre - 1860

Goodrich’s Sugarhouse – Cabot - 1835

Molly Brook Farm – West Danville - 1835

Reed Supply Co – St. Johnsbury - 1828

Jericho Center Country Store – Jericho - 1807
